Named repeatedly as one of Philadelphia Magazine’s “Top Docs,” Dr. Dion Ehrlich MD provides comprehensive medical and surgical eye care. A board certified ophthalmologist and past-president of the Philadelphia Inter-County Ophthalmology Association, Dr. Ehrlich has been caring for patients in the Philadelphia area since 1978. Achieving national media attention as a patient advocate, Dr. Ehrlich applies the high ethical standards he earned as an Eagle Scout to each patient encounter. He serves as the Chief of Ophthalmology at Jeanes Hospital and has staff privileges at Abington Hospital.


Dion Ehrlich MD graduated with a degree in biology from Franklin and Marshall College. He earned his medical degree from George Washington University and completed his ophthalmology residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Before starting his practice in the Philadelphia area, Dr. Ehrlich performed a sub-specialty cornea fellowship at Ohio State University Hospital.


Dr. Dion Ehrlich continues to accept new patients and has office hours at both Jeanes Hospital and Abington Hospital. He maintains an active role teaching students at Wills Eye Hospital and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. When he is not caring for patients, Dr. Ehrlich enjoys spending time with his three grandchildren and restoring antique automobiles.
